AMHERST — Damage to a passenger-side mirror on a vehicle parked in an East Pleasant Street parking lot led to a brief altercation Sunday evening, according to police.
Detective Michael Forcum said officers were called to the lot in front of Cousin’s Market, 11 East Pleasant St., where a man had been leaning against a vehicle.
After he was told to stop touching the vehicle by a group of women, including the car’s owner, he continued to lean against it, eventually snapping off the mirror, Forcum said.
This caused a fight between him and another man.
The combatants and others involved fled and were found a short time later on North Pleasant Street.
No one is facing charges, Forcum said.
