South Hadley native Richy Werenski is 2-for-2 on the PGA Tour.
Two tournament, two weekends.
While the first-year PGA Tour member easily made the cut in his first tour event, he held on Friday to reach the third of the Sanderson Farms Championship, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Werenski followed his first-round even-par 72 with a 2-under 70 to sit on the cut line.
Werenski had four birdies, two bogeys and 12 pars on Friday. He parred seven straight holes on the front nine at Country Club of Jackson.
On Thursday, Werenski had three birdies and three bogeys along with 12 pars.
Grayson Murray held the lead at the midway point at 12 under. Greg Owen and Seamus Power were two back.
Werenski was paired over the first two rounds with Steven Alker (3 under) and Rick Lamb (3 over).
Werenski will tee off with Mackenzie Hughes at 11:46 a.m. in the final pairing of the third round.
