The awards keep coming for Northampton’s Jake Ross.
D3hoops.com named the Springfield College freshman its Northeast Rookie of the Year. The Williston Northampton product was also named to the publication’s All-Northeast Region second team.
He was previously named the NEWMAC Rookie of the Year and ECAC Division III New England Rookie of the Year.
Ross led the Pride in scoring at 22.7 points per game – which was fourth in the country for freshman – rebounds and assists.
UMass 9, North Dakota State 5 – Nolan Kessinger had three hits and drove in a run, and the Minutemen won their third straight game.
Kevin Hassett picked up the win for UMass (3-4), which used four pitchers.
Amherst 3, Millsaps 0; Amherst 12, Salve Regina 2 – Lauren Tuiskula and Ally Kido combined for seven hits and drove in four runs each against Salve Regina.
Gina Pagan threw a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts for Amherst (5-1) against Millsaps.
