Freshman Rachel Robinson struck out seven, walked one, hit one batter and scattered two hits as the Easthampton softball team beat Smith academy, 9-0, Monday in Hatfield.

Robinson struck out the side in the second for the Eagles (8-1, 5-0 Bi-County West).

Robinson allowed a single to Emma Hobert in the fourth and a single to Hobert in the sixth.

The Falcons had runners at first and second with two outs in the sixth, but couldn’t scratch a run across.

Sam Sypek (two runs), Olivia Downer (run) and Michelle McDermott (run) each had two hits for the Eagles.

Lisa Sikop scored twice.

A leadoff walk by Bryce Nelson (two walks, run) and fourth straight singles highlighted a six-run seventh for Easthampton.

Frontier Regional 9, Pioneer Regional 2 — The Red Hawks (4-5, 3-4 Franklin) led 7-0 after four innings en route to the win in South Deerfield.

Lauren MacDonald struck out five with no walks in the win. She added two doubles and two runs to help her cause.

Sarah Meunier had three hits, two RBIs and two runs.

Agawam 7, Northampton 6 — The Blue Devils had three home runs, including two solo shots by Anna Connly, but they fell just short on the road.

Abby Pelis had the other home run, a two-run shot in the five-run fifth. Zoe Discoll-Sbar added two hits and drove in a pair.

Central 13, Granby 12 — Julia Gauvin was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, while Lindsey Wenzel had two hits and two RBIs, but the Rams (5-6, 0-4 Bi-County) dropped a tough one in Springfield.

After seeing the first two batters retired in the seventh, the Golden Eagles (4-10, 1-3) scored three runs for the walk-off win.

Pope Francis 4, Gateway Regional 0 — Erika Wolfe was the only multiple hitter for the Gators (1-12), who fell on the road.

Smith Voke 16, Putnam 8 — Stephanie Start struggled with command in the middle innings, but recovered to pick up a complete-game win for the Vikings at home.

Start walked nine and gave up seven hits, but struck out 10 for Smith Voke (6-5).

Avalon Darby (three RBIs) and Allison Kowalczyk (three RBIs) both homered for the Vikings.

Amanda York went 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and three RBIs.

Mahar 9, Hopkins Academy 8 — Markowski (RBI) and Kurtz (RBI) each had three hits, while King (RBI), Robbins and Palmisano (two RBIs) each had two, but the Golden Hawks (3-8, 0-7 Franklin) fell on the road.

Chicopee 16, Amherst 3 (5) — Emily Hu homered for the Hurricanes (1-8) in a road loss.

West Springfield 9, Belchertown 1 — Hannah Sugrue had a hit and an RBI for the Orioles (1-10) in a road loss.

Chicopee Comp 5, South Hadley 0 — Only Jaiden Plamondon’s double kept the Tigers from being no-hit as they fell on the road.
