AMHERST — A new patrol officer previously employed as a cadet with the University of Massachusetts Police has joined the Amherst Police Department.
Lindsay J. Carroll, 23, of North Grafton, recently graduated from the Reading Regional Police Academy and began her 12-week field officer training program.
The daughter of Jim and Lisa Carroll, Carroll is a 2012 graduate of Grafton High School and in 2016 earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, with a minor in sociology, at the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass. In addition to her work as a police cadet, Carroll has also been a dispatcher for Grafton and Oxford.
