NORTHAMPTON — A hazmat call Thursday afternoon resulted in a big response from public safety agencies to Ode Boutique, a Main Street clothing shop, but no threat was detected.
Fire officials said they received a call about possible hazardous materials at approximately 2:50 p.m.
The response consisted of one engine, an ambulance, a command vehicle, Northampton Police and a state hazmat vehicle, according to the department.
Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours and determined that there was no threat to the public. The matter was then turned over to the police.
