Junior Hailey Leidel surpassed 1,000 career points, but the UMass women’s basketball team fell to Bucknell, 77-58, in the Brown University Turkey Tip-Off, Friday in Providence, Rhode Island.
Leidel became the 20th female in UMass history to reach the milestone. The guard finished with four points on 2 of 9 shooting.
Bre Hampton-Bey led the Minutewomen with 13 points. Destiney Philoxy added 11 points.
UMass (3-2) will play Brown at 2 p.m. Saturday.
