AMHERST — The second-ranked Amherst College men’s lacrosse team rolled past defending national champions Wesleyan, 14-9, Wednesday at Pratt Field.

Wolf finished the game with four goals and two assists. Coffey had three goals.
Andrew Ford, Jack Norton (two), Jimmy McAfee, Ethan Kazmierski (two) and Grant Chryssicas also scored for Amherst.

“I think it always comes down to our riding, it’s one of the things we put most importance in creating more chances for our offense,” Wolf said. “I think we road the ball really hard tonight which showed in the final score.”
The sixth-ranked Cardinals pulled within two twice in the third period, but Amherst answered each time.
“I don’t think we are anywhere close to our full potential,” he said. “Probably focus this week on shooting, I don’t think we shot super well tonight, but we’re excited to get back to work tomorrow”
