The International Association for Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO) Board 28 has opened its recruitment and is looking for new candidates serving Franklin and Hampshire Counties for girls and boys basketball this winter.
The IAABO uses an online tool called “IAABO University” for the rules portion of the training and certification of all new candidates. All candidates who successfully complete the training and pass the online test will be eligible to participate a number of floor training sessions. Those will be held at Smith Academy on Oct. 29, Nov. 5, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 from 7-9:30 p.m.
Following those training sessions, the floor evaluation will be held on Nov. 24 at a time to be determined. Anyone interested in joining IAABO Board 28 serving Franklin and Hampshire Counties, should visit the “Become an Official” page on their website. That link can be found here.
