BOSTON — Athletes and teams from across the Valley are set to compete in the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center this weekend, starting with Amherst, Holyoke and Northampton competing in the Division 3 meet on Friday before Frontier, Hampshire and South Hadley participate in the Division 5 meet on Sunday.

Seven total PVIAC meets took place over the course of the regular season, and last Sunday the originally scheduled PVIAC championship meet was canceled due to weather. So the Hampshire County programs are itching to get back out on the track and shine in their respective events.

Each school had strong regular-season showings, so they’re hoping that momentum can carry into even better execution on the big stage in Boston. Across the two meets, local competitors are seeded first in four different events.

Below is a list of each school and their top athletes based on the MIAA’s performance lists. We’ll start with Friday’s meet then list those competing on Sunday.
