Last year I became the director of Goshen Free Library. I’m a faithful subscriber to the Gazette so I knew there was a town called Goshen. There are plenty of Goshen stones used in the town I live in. In the last year I have learned that there is more to the town than Route 9 and rocks.

The Council on Aging is a vibrant organization that runs events, regular programs, and services that create a wonderful community for their seniors. The group Re-Imagining Goshen is creating events to offset the cost of creating an outdoor common space with parking, instead of only parking across from the town offices and library. The Williams-Boltwood house is just off of Route 9 and has a crew of dedicated people are working to get the house historically preserved. Their dream of a community space in a historic home is exciting.

At the Goshen Free Library we have ongoing programs, a growing collection, and dedicated patrons. All of us are in the midst of fundraising. If you are interested in finding out more information on any and all groups, please reach out to me at GoshenFreeLibrary@gmail.com, or find us on Facebook as the Public Library of Goshen, Massachusetts.
