Wednesday’s prep schools: Williston boys, girls track stuck in the middle during tri-meet

Williston Northampton’s boys and girls track & field teams both finished second Wednesday during a tri-meet in Easthampton.
Northfield Mount Hermon scored 94 points to win the boys meet, while the Wildcats had 62. Wilbraham & Monson was third with 25.
Williston took second on the girls side with 63 behind Northfield Mount Hermon’s 91. Wilbraham & Monson was third with 26.
Alexis Ryan won the girls discus with a season-long throw of 104 feet, 10 inches.
Easthampton’s Chloe Prouty won the 100-meter hurdles in 18.6 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 54.9.
Abigail Touhey (Florence) cut 40 seconds off her 3,000 time, winning in 11:45.
Ben Aulean won the boys discus at 117-1.
Williston’s 4x100 relay team of Derrick Zhao, Brandyn Jones, Greg Iverson (Belchertown) and Elijah Hutchinson won in 45.8.

Nick Hill (Northampton) won the 3,000 in 9:31.
Williston’s 4x400 relay of Jake Goodman, Iverson, Oskar Lee and Hutchinson won in 3:38.
Suffield Invitational — Jacob Zaranek (South Deerfield) and Jack Phelan each shot a 78 as the Wildcats finished second.
Williston 20, Deerfield 10 — Olivia Bonavita scored six goals in a road win.
Madison Fulcher-Melendy (Easthampton) had three goals, five assists and a team-high eight ground balls.
Caitlin Keefe and Fiona Bundy each found the net three times, while Campbell Nyarady scored twice.
Rachel Burke and Tori Zingarelli each had a goal for Williston (7-0).
Girls golf
Willston 4, Miss Porter’s 1; Loomis 4, Williston 1 — Nancy Kang and Sarah Sullivan both shot a 50 to lead the Wildcats at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
Boys lacrosse
Berkshire 13, Williston 4 — Mason Balch had three goals in a road loss for the Wildcats (5-3).
