The Hampshire Regional YMCA Dolphins Swim Team concluded their winter season schedule recently. This season marks the second under head coach Jay Fritz, who was assisted this year by Ania Axas and Hannah Creamer.
A pair of Hampshire County wrestlers made it to their respective championship bouts on Saturday afternoon, as Hampshire Regional’s Adin Clifford and Holyoke’s Steven Santiago earned runner-up finishes at the MIAA Wrestling Championships.

BOSTON – Belchertown’s Grace Perron and Northampton’s Amalia Guerra highlighted Hampshire County’s individual performances in the MIAA Division 2 Girls Swimming Championships at the Boston University Pool on Saturday afternoon.

NORTHAMPTON — Amalia Guerra is a perfectionist. She won’t stop working until she feels she has honed her craft. And even when the day comes where the Northampton girls swimming senior feels like she’s accomplished perfection, she’ll continue to find something to improve on.
SOUTH HADLEY – The South Hadley wrestling team fell short to Franklin County Tech, 36-34, in an entertaining match on Wednesday.
Amalia Guerra and Saumya Kulp won two individual events apiece, helping the Northampton girls swimming and diving team to a 90-50 victory over Chicopee in dual meet action on Friday at JFK Middle School.
