Indoor track: Multiple standouts at third PVIAC meet of season

The third PVIAC indoor track meet of the season took place on Sunday at Smith College.
Here are the top performers from each local school:
The Amherst girls fell to Sci-Tech (29-10), Minnechaug (66-10), Northampton (93-2) and West Springfield (84-6). The Hurricane boys beat Sci-Tech (34-15) but lost to Minnechaug (69-22), Northampton (64-23) and West Springfield (71-24).
On the girls side, Brooke Nedeau placed fifth in the mile (6:11.7) and Claire Kennedy took eighth in the 2 mile (13:47.69).
On the boys side, Owen Platt won the 300 (38.25), Kyle Yanko won the mile (4:48.45), Patrick Staudenmayer earned seventh in the 600 (1:36.65), Yoh Morita took fourth in the 1,000 (3:03) and Nathanael Oliver came in third in the shot put (38-11.75).
The Frontier girls beat Pope Francis (72-22) and Southwick (67-27) while falling to South Hadley (57-38). The Redhawk boys earned wins over Pope Francis (81-14), South Hadley (69-25) and Southwick (77-17).
On the girls side, Madelyn Antes took ninth in the 300 (48.27), Nicole Plasse took seventh in the 600 (1:57.75) and ninth in the long jump (13-10.5), Addison Morey placed third in the 1,000 (3:34.96) and fourth in the mile (6:11.25), Leah Gump took second in the mile (6:08.16) and 2 mile (12:46.51), Liv Christensen placed 10th in the 2 mile (14:13.37), Lilly Novak placed fifth in the shot put (27-6.5), Hannah Davis took third in the 55 hurdles (9.79) and Maia Christensen came in seventh in the high jump (4-4).
On the boys side, Ben Cachiguango took third in the 55 (6.86), second in the 55 hurdles (8.55) and fifth in the 300 (39.21), Jack Storm took ninth in the 55 (7.13) and sixth in the long jump (17-8.75), Aidan Valderrama took fourth in the 600 (1:33.53) and fourth in the high jump (5-6), Amory Maxey took third in the 1,000 (2:54.68) and 10th in the 2 mile (11:40.75), Charles Dennis placed fifth in the 1,000 (3:04.84) and fifth in the mile (5:09.47), Ben Caron placed seventh in the 55 hurdles (9.38) and Oliver Brown took ninth in the high jump (5-4).

The Hampshire girls earned wins over Baystate (86-4), Pioneer (65-29) and Commerce (82-7) while the Raider boys beat Baystate (65-16), Pioneer (65-16) and Commerce (67-17).

On the boys side, Jaiden Kudelka took third in the 55 (6.85) and sixth in the 300 (39.4), Aidan Conklin took sixth in the 600 (1:35.96), in the 1,000 Nick Brisson took second (2:49.72), Tim Cahill took third (2:54.85) and Owen Cubi took fourth (2:55.03), Brisson won the mile (4:44.63) and Nicholas Eliasgillette came in eight in the 2 mile (11:09.04)
The Holyoke girls fell to East Longmeadow (80-14) while the Purple Knight boys lost to East Longmeadow (69-24).
On the girls side, Yasani Thompson won the 55 (7.44) while Kayshaly Garcia took fourth (7.8). Leilany Figueroa took sixth in the 300 (47.05), Jaylene Moquin came in second in the 600 (1:51.94) and Siobhan Armstrong came in 10th in the 55 hurdles (11.02).
On the boys side, Jhendry Payamps Cruz took ninth in the 55 (7.18), Ryan Kennedy took second in the 600 (1:35.17), Elijah Quinn came in fifth in the mile (4:58.86), Jaybriel Rivera Soto took eighth in the 55 hurdles (9.55), Ethan Zayas took fourth in the high jump (5-4) and Jaden Diaz came in third in the shot put (40-10.5).
The Northampton girls earned wins over Agawam (81-14), Amherst (93-2) and Minnechaug (79-16). The Blue Devil boys beat Amherst (64-23) but lost to Agawam (55-40) and Minnechaug (48-46).
On the girls side, Eleanor Lewis won the high jump (5-0), Allie Sullivan won the long jump (15-8), took second in the high jump (4-8) and fifth in the 55 (7.82), Camilla Brewer won the 55 hurdles (9.54) and took fourth in the 300 (45.14), Maeve O’Neil won the 600 (1:46.41), Tes Geis-Benton won the 1,000 (3:27.7) and 2 mile (12:43.82), Malia Silver won the mile (5:47.77) while Charlotte Shimpach took third (6:10.59) and Ella Hendricks placed seventh in the shot put (27-0).
On the boys side, Ryland Breen placed second in the 55 (6.62), Liam Ewers took third in the 600 (1:32.57), Isaiah Carnevale placed eighth in the 1,000 (3:05.77), Pranav Belur took third in the mile (5:06.46), Owen Daggett placed second in the 2 mile (10:58.54) while Ben Killip-Leonard took third (11:10.3) while Davis Wheat took sixth in the shot put (34-3.5).
The South Hadley girls earned a 57-38 win over Frontier while the Tiger girls fell to the Redhawks, 69-25.
On the girls side, Abigail Gelinas took second in the 55 (7.74) and second in the 300 (44.49), Lauren Marjanski took fourth in the 55 (7.78) and fourth in the long jump (14-11), Emma Levreault placed second in the 600 (1:51.68), Izzy Scott took fourth in the 1,000 (3:40.91), Quinlin Cook earned sixth in the mile (6:12.86) and Gwen Marion came in fifth in the high jump (4-6).
On the boys side, Micah Litovich came in ninth in the 300 (41.3) and 10th in the long jump (16-9.25), Nathan Hutchinson took eighth in the mile (5:14.59) and fourth in the 2 mile (11:11.69), Jameson Webber took fourth in the 55 hurdles (8.72).
