The Audubon Society has reported a variety of recent bird sightings in western Massachusetts.

A Caspian Tern flew over Northfield on Saturday.

Two glossy ibis were at Arcadia Sanctuary in Northampton.

Three northern shovelers were at Turners Falls and two were at the southern end of the Quabbin Reservoir.

A cerulean warbler and two worm-eating warblers were found on Mount Holyoke.

Cape May warblers were seen in Rowe, Williamstown, Greenfield and Pittsfield.

A Tennessee warbler was reported in Williamstown.

An American coot was seen in Longmeadow.

Uncommon residents or arriving migrants reported included green-winged teal, ring-necked duck, hooded merganser, common merganser, common loon, pied-billed grebe, American bittern, green heron, black vulture, osprey, northern harrier, merlin and sharp-shinned hawk.

Plus, greater yellowlegs, lesser yellowlegs, least sandpiper, Wilson’s snipe, Virginia rail, whip-poor-will, cliff swallow, horned lark, eastern meadowlark, orchard oriole, scarlet tanager and evening grosbeak.

Returning warblers included Nashville, northern parula, prairie, Wilson’s and Canada. Also reported were vesper sparrow, white-crowned sparrow and Lincoln’s sparrow.
