High schools: Nate Carillon, South Hadley baseball take down West Springfield

Nate Carillon walked three times, scored two runs and drove in a run to help the South Hadley baseball team take down West Springfield, 13-3, on Monday in a five-inning run-shortened affair.
Carillon also struck out four in two innings of relief.
South Hadley’s Ben Foley doubled among his two hits and added two RBIs while scoring two runs. Jackson Keller and Memphis Huertas (two runs) each had two RBIs for the Tigers.
South Hadley’s Liam Carpenter and Matthew Drobiak each doubled once.
Holyoke 16, West Springfield 4 — Kylie Blaha struck out three in six innings of work to lift the Purple Knights to their third win of the season on Monday.
Jaycalee Santos had two hits and drove in three runs for Holyoke (3-3).
Chicopee Comp 19, Belchertown 7 — Eliza Rothstein tallied a pair of hits for the Orioles in a loss to the visiting Colts in Belchertown on Monday.
Julianne Cozine, Lex Piwci and Olivia Lafayette each had a hit and an RBI for Belchertown, Cozine’s hit a triple. Lafayette struck out 10 in the circle.

Southwick 19, Granby 17 – Lauren Parker drove in four runs with a triple, but the Rams fell on the road Saturday. Meredith Bartosz also had four RBIs with four hits and a double. She scored three runs.
Granby’s Mabel Carillon touched home four times and added an RBI. Kaitlyn Curran (three this), Grace Roy and Elanor Szlosek (two hits) each had two RBIs. for the Rams.
Frontier 3, Longmeadow 1 — The Redhawks took the opening two sets before regrouping to win the fourth, walking away with a 25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 26-24 victory over the Lancers in Longmeadow Monday.
The win puts Frontier at 8-0 on the season, with Monday being the lone set it’s lost this spring.
“I’m proud of the guys today,” Redhawk coach Sean MacDonald said. “We were already short two players with vacation and then lost our primary setter Tavo [Vincent-Warner] halfway through the first set. Will Petrin, our only available sub on the bench who has never played as a setter, came in to set and helped us win set one. “Ngawang Deter came out of the libero jersey and he set for sets 2-4. Aleks Carey and Owen Babb stayed in for their back row rotations as we were now playing without a libero and did a good job without a ton of practice back there. So big shout out the everyone for adjusting on no notice.”
Aleks Carey led the way with 11 kills in the victory. Brady Burch smacked seven kills, Jack Carey recorded five kills, Owen Babb put down three kills and three aces, William Petrin had one assist and three aces while Ngawang Deter came up with six digs and dished 22 assists for Frontier.
Millbrook 12, Williston 7 – Noah Fox distributed four assists with a goal for the Wildcats on Saturday. Williston sophomore Joseph Killcommons added a hat trick, and Dan Diejek saved six shots.
Berkshire 11, Williston 8 – Scarlette Graybelle scored thee goals for the Wildcats on Saturday. Amherst’s Louis Coughlin put away two goals and added an assist for Williston. Hazel Jacobs saved nine shots.
Millbrook 4, Williston 3 – Jack Wise earned a win at No. 2 signles after rallying from a 5-0 deficit in Set 1 for the Wildcatson Saturday.
Williston 15, Deerfield 4; Williston 18, Greenwich 5 – Maisie Mattocks poured in six goals against the Big Green, while she had five steals against Greenwich in a NESCAC championship rematch Saturday. Campbell Collins scored five timse with two assists, while Kaitlyn Williams added four goals against Greenwich.
Williston 8, Miss Porters 4 – Elle Christakos (Northampton) delivered three assist for the Wildcats on Saturday, as five Williston players found the end zone at least once.
